Product detailed description
HORIZZONT suits leisure and sport-minded riders who mix surfaced sections with woodland and farm tracks. Its hardtail frame and 29″ wheels suit brisk outings, while the air fork helps absorb uneven ground. It is a good choice if you want a mountain bike with straightforward shifting and suspension that can be adjusted to your weight.
Air suspension adjusted to you
Set the SR Suntour XCR Air fork’s air pressure to suit your weight. Its travel absorbs impacts from stones and roots and helps the front wheel follow the ground. Handlebar-operated lockout is useful on smooth tarmac or climbs on firm tracks.
One shifter for climbs and level ground
The SRAM S100 shifter and S200 Eagle derailleur control twelve gears. A single chainring means you select your gear with just one shifter off road. The lowest gear helps maintain steady pedalling on climbs, while higher gears suit level ground and faster linking sections.
Progressive braking control
Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes let you vary braking force by changing pressure on the lever. The larger front rotor supports braking at the wheel that carries more load as you slow down. This is useful when controlling speed on descents and approaching corners.
Wheels for mixed surfaces
The 29″ wheels help roll over smaller bumps. Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres combine a more continuous centre tread for rolling on firm tracks with prominent shoulder blocks for support when cornering on loose ground. They suit rides that alternate between tarmac, gravel and dry woodland tracks.
An aluminium frame and clear cockpit
The 6061 aluminium-alloy frame uses internal cable routing for a tidy appearance. Wide handlebars provide support when steering the front wheel off road. The hardtail layout suits riders who want a direct pedalling feel and enjoy actively handling their bike.
