ACE SC5 Sport W
Women’s skis for easier carving turn initiation and confident skiing on groomed runs.
Elan ACE SC5 Sport W help intermediate women develop their carving technique. The narrow 72 mm waist makes edge changes quick, while camber and Titanal reinforcement provide support on groomed runs.
Technologies
Active Suspension Drive
A shock-absorbing elastomer layer sits between overlapping reinforcements and dampens vibration as you ski. The reinforcements also direct energy to the part of the ski under pressure. This helps the edge maintain contact with the snow and makes the ski feel calmer over uneven surfaces, giving you more precise carving and support as you finish a turn.
Traction Tip
A relief zone in the forebody lets the tip respond more freely to uneven snow and changes in skier pressure. As you start a turn, the tip can adapt to the surface and guide the ski onto its edge. This makes turn initiation smoother and reduces vibration in the front of the ski.
Power Woodcore and Mono Ti
The Power woodcore forms the ski’s responsive foundation, flexing under load and recovering as pressure is released. A single Titanal layer, called Mono Ti, adds stability and support when skiing on the edge. Together they help the ski respond to your pressure and hold a controlled line through the turn as you pick up speed.
RST and camber
RST sidewalls transfer pressure from the ski’s construction to the edges for a direct response to your input. Camber is the traditional arch: the unloaded ski has a slightly raised middle that flexes towards the snow when you apply pressure. Together they help engage the edge along the ski and maintain grip through a carving turn.
Sintered base
The sintered base absorbs wax well, helping reduce friction between the ski and snow. Regular waxing keeps it gliding smoothly on piste and across gentler sections. Its performance depends on proper care, so keeping the base waxed helps preserve the benefit.
