MAX1 SPD City Single-Sided Clipless Pedals

The MAX1 SPD City pedals are a combination design: one side features a standard SPD clipless mechanism with adjustable spring tension, while the other is a classic MTB platform with an aggressive tread pattern. The body is machined from polished aluminium alloy, the cage is steel, and the axle runs on ball bearings throughout.

The SPD side accepts compatible cycling shoes and locks them securely into the pedal. Release tension is adjustable via the spring preload to suit your preference. The platform side has an aggressive tread pattern that grips the sole of ordinary footwear — ideal for short rides or any situation where you'd rather not change your shoes.

The pedals can be fitted using either a 15 mm pedal spanner or a 6 mm hex key. The box includes S-002 cleats and the mounting hardware — everything you need to ride straight away. The thread is standard, with the left-hand pedal using a reverse thread (marked L/R on the axle).

Compatible with standard SPD cleats (2-bolt system). When fitting, take care to match each pedal to the correct crank arm — the left-hand pedal has a reverse thread.
