The Elan Primetime 55 ranks among the brand's most precise carving skis. Its narrow waist enables exceptionally quick edge changes, while PowerMatch distributes material and power according to the different roles of the inside and outside edges. The dual-density wood core is firmer on the more heavily loaded side and lighter where the ski needs to respond quickly. Two Titanal layers add composure, strong edge grip and energy at the end of a turn.
Who are these skis for: advanced to expert skiers who prefer groomed pistes, an active pace and precisely carved turns. The model demands sound technique and rewards deliberate edge pressure.
How Amphibio works through a turn
The PRIMETIME 55 uses different construction for the left and right skis. They form a side-specific pair, with inside and outside edges that play different roles through a turn.

Firmer construction near the inside edge puts support where the ski is loaded most, while the lighter outside section keeps handling natural.
Dual Density Woodcore
Denser wood on the loaded side supports stability and rebound, while the lighter section cuts weight and makes direction changes easier.
Dual Ti + RST Sidewall
Two Titanal layers keep the ski composed at speed, while the sidewall transfers pressure straight to the edge for stronger grip and energetic turn exits.
Plate and binding system
The Fusion X system with Elan EMX 12.0 GW bindings supports direct power transfer and natural ski flex. The DIN range is 3.5–12; a qualified technician must set the bindings.

Elan je slovinská značka s tradicí od roku 1945, která patří mezi technologicky nejvýznamnější výrobce sjezdových lyží. Výroba dodnes probíhá ve Slovinsku a zajímavostí je, že přibližně 95 % použitých materiálů pochází z okruhu do 150 km kolem továrny, což pomáhá udržet vysokou kvalitu a kontrolu nad výrobou.
Značka je známá svými inovacemi, například technologií Amphibio, která kombinuje rocker a camber a přináší lyžím snadnou ovladatelnost i dobrou stabilitu. Elan zároveň klade důraz na moderní design a promyšlenou konstrukci.
