Personal data processing is governed primarily by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”).
I. How we process personal data
A. Contact form
If you enquire about our products or services, we process the contact details you provide, particularly through our enquiry form: your first name, surname, email address, telephone number, delivery address and billing address.
Purpose: To contact you and discuss the goods or services you are interested in.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – negotiating a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Retention: If we do not enter into a further business relationship, we process your data for no more than 10 years after our last communication.
B. Purchases from our online shop
When you buy from us, we process the details you provide in your order, particularly your first name, surname, email address, telephone number, delivery address and billing address.
Purpose: To fulfil our contract and supply the goods or services. We also use your contact details to communicate about your order, complaints and enquiries. We additionally process data to meet our statutory obligations, particularly for accounting, tax and complaints handling.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract; Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with a legal obligation.
Retention: For the duration of the service and then for 10 years after the last service was provided or goods were delivered.
C. Newsletters and marketing emails
If you are a customer and did not opt out when purchasing, we may use your email address to send news and offers about our similar goods or services. You can opt out when purchasing and in every marketing email.
Legal basis: Section 7(3) of Czech Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on Certain Information Society Services, and our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Retention: 10 years after your last purchase. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting skicentrum@icloud.com.
If you subscribe to our newsletter separately, we will send news and offers from Ski & Cyklo Centrum Košutek to the email address you provide on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 7(2) of Czech Act No. 480/2004 Coll. We will use your email address for this purpose until you withdraw your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing in an email or writing to skicentrum@icloud.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
II. Who can access your personal data?
Some companies and other people help us operate our online shop and may have access to your data:
- Shoptet, the provider of our e-commerce platform;
- companies involved in delivering goods: DPD, PPL and Zásilkovna (Packeta);
- the provider who handles our accounting and tax administration.
We process personal data only within the European Union.

We have not appointed a data protection officer. We do not make decisions based on automated processing or profiling.

V. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask us for information about how we process your personal data, access to that data, updates or corrections, restrictions on processing and a copy of your data. Subject to the applicable conditions, you also have rights to erasure and data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to processing for direct marketing at any time; we will then stop using your data for that purpose.
If you believe we are handling your data incorrectly, you may complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) or bring a claim before a court.
