Etape POLAR WS+ in black are designed for cross-country skiing, winter walks and other cold-weather activities. Etape suggests –20 to 0 °C; warmth depends on activity level, wind and your sensitivity to cold.

SoftShell: wind and moisture protection

Stretchy three-layer SoftShell with a membrane resists wind and water while allowing moisture to escape. Etape specifies a 10,000 mm water column and breathability of 10,000 g/m²/24 h for the fabric. These figures describe the fabric, rather than the waterproofness of every seam in the finished glove.

Thinsulate 3M: lightweight thermal insulation

Thinsulate 3M microfibre insulation traps air to help reduce body heat loss. It is useful in gloves that combine warmth with a comfortable grip.

Three-finger design for cold weather

The thumb and index finger have separate compartments, while the other three fingers share one compartment. The design combines some of the comfort of a mitten with a free index finger for gripping. Thinsulate 3M is used at both the palm and the back of the hand.

Grip and cuff comfort

The anti-slip palm helps you hold poles or other equipment. Reinforcement between the thumb and index finger protects a high-wear area. The extended elastic cuff helps cover the gap between the glove and your sleeve.

Useful details in use

SmartTouch at the thumb and index finger lets you operate a touchscreen without taking the gloves off. Fleece on the thumb is useful for wiping away sweat. Reflective details add visibility in low light.
