Product detailed description
VIRUS SXC TEAM suits riders who spend more time on forest trails than on tarmac. Front and rear suspension help the wheels follow roots and uneven ground. Its 29-inch wheels and wider off-road tyres suit outings that continue beyond smooth forest tracks.
Suspension for uneven terrain
The RockShox Revelation Motion Boost fork and Monarch RT3 rear shock provide 140 mm of travel. They help absorb repeated impacts and keep the wheels following the ground. Adjusting suspension to rider weight and the route helps make use of that travel.
A wide range without a front derailleur
SLX cranks with a 34T chainring are paired with a 10–51T cassette. A Shimano SLX lever controls twelve gears, with an XT rear derailleur moving the chain. One chainring simplifies gear selection as the gradient changes.
Tyres, brakes and contact points
The 2.40-inch Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres have a pronounced off-road tread. Shimano SLX hydraulic brakes with 180/160 mm rotors provide progressive braking on descents. Mavic rims and Ritchey WCS components complement the carbon frame.
